Sabrina and Tyler‘s wedding in the mountains of NC was a laid back, simple day filled with family and friends. It was extremely hot, but you wouldn’t know it: guests kept cool in the Barn at Blueberry Hill under the string lights!
We loved the view of the Blue Ridge mountains in the background, and especially loved the time we got with the couple for their portraits after the ceremony. As they reflected below, some of our favorite moments also included watching Tyler see Sabrina walk towards the aisle to him, Sabrina’s little sister playing violin at the ceremony, and the emotional dances with parents. Here’s what they had to say:
How did you two meet?
We met online! We dated from across the country for three years and then moved to NC together in January of 2020. Tyler proposed in September in our backyard, it was so special to have such an intimate proposal that was just the two of us. We get along so well and have such similar interests. Even mundane activities are fun with each other! We spend most of our days laughing!
How did you feel on the day of your wedding?
We both felt so calm, and just ready to be married. We both agreed that it wasn’t a day for anyone other than ourselves. We don’t agree that a wedding day is “the bride’s day” and it was important to us that the day was ours, as one. We wanted to go for a calm and casual vibe. I hadn’t seen many of my extended family and friends in over 6 years and we wanted to make sure we highlighted the family element of our wedding.
What were your favorite moments?
I think for me, Sofia playing the violin was so precious and something I will never forget. Also, the sweet way Tyler burst into tears when he saw me…I melted. Tyler said that saying I do was the moment he never wants to forget!
Sabrina and Tyler, we loved celebrating with you at your wedding in the mountains of NC. Your love story is so beautiful and we wish a lovely, long married life for you both.
