The Triangle is such a beautiful place to plan a wedding! However, there are some wedding dates to avoid if you want to plan a smooth weekend for yourselves, your friends, and your family! Read on to see which dates are potentially problematic for weddings in this area!

In the list below, we are filling you in on dates to avoid or rethink having your wedding in the Triangle area. We want to make sure you and your guests have the best time on your wedding day, so planning a Raleigh, Durham, or Chapel Hill wedding on certain holidays or during specific events may be more inconvenient or expensive for you.

For example, we had our own wedding on the 4th of July and we like to joke that it allows us to see fireworks on every anniversary! While that is true and wonderful, we found that many vendors were not available on our wedding date. Having your wedding on holidays can also be more expensive for you or your guests: think about all the work some florists might be doing around graduation or Mother’s Day or how many venues might also be booked up around New Year’s Eve. Plus, traveling and hotel rooms at these times might be more expensive for your guests! Here are specific weekends we recommend rethinking.
