Rachel and Jason opted for an intimate wedding with close family in Hillsborough, NC at her parents’ home. We loved capturing these UNC Chapel Hill wedding portraits for them at Coker Arboretum!

When Rachel and Jason first reached out, they let us know that the had to make lots of pandemic-related pivots when it came to their wedding, including the fact that they had not had the chance to take engagement photos. Rachel and Jason traveled from out of town to get marred with a few family members in attendance, and decided that they wanted pre-wedding portraits at Coker Arboretum on UNC-Chapel Hill’s campus.
We started out with some family portraits near the ivy-covered arbor and then got to spend some time with Rachel and Jason alone capturing wedding portraits in the dreamy sunset light. Rachel’s black wedding dress is the first one we’ve gotten to photograph and we certainly hope it’s a trend that keeps up — we love the tea length with florals! Her bouquet, which included anemones, complimented it perfectly, and was matched well by Jason’s bold floral tie.
Rachel and Jason, it was such a pleasure to capture these portraits for you! We wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
