My goodness, did this wedding have our hearts! Radhika second shot for Lauren Jolly Photography and got to meet Murphy and Nick and their absolutely amazing family and friends in the process!
Their navy and blush wedding, held at the Barclay Villa in Angier, North Carolina, was such a stunner. Murphy and Nick were so, so calm during the entire day, and we are pretty sure that it was clear to everyone in attendance that their love is one that is meant to last. They have known each other since high school and exuded a sense of serene happiness throughout the getting ready process and first look. It wasn’t until the ceremony, when they read their vows, that Murphy teared up (don’t worry, Murphy! You definitely weren’t the only one!). They tied the knot on a completely Carolina day: under beautiful blue skies surrounded by their closest family and friends and sealed the moment by adding to their personal travel book, a sweet personal touch.
We were sure that the rest of the evening would be smooth sailing, but we were wrong! At the reception, Murphy and her dad danced the traditional father and daughter danced, which then evolved into a flash mob including the bridal party! It was incredible, and if that’s not enough, her sister, the maid-of-honor, with the help of another bridesmaid, rapped her toast to a remake of “Fergalicious”! After lots of fun dancing, a cake cutting, and the traditional Filipino “money dance” (where guests pin money to the couple’s clothing), the night ended with a ribbon send-off. The evening was wonderful, and I’m so glad to have been there along with Lauren. Murphy and Nick, we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
