We visited The Inn at Celebrity Dairy four years ago during our senior year at UNC, and while we have loved buying their goat cheese at the Durham Farmer’s Market, we thought it would be fun to go back.
We attended their Third Sunday dinner to celebrate Valentine’s Day, which was incredible. The beef they served as the main course was grass fed and from a local farm, and the chocolate cake for dessert managed to be dense and fluffy at the same time. We had the most fun playing with the goats, though. There are 80 goats on the farm, and half of them have given birth so far, so it was fun to play with the kids and watch them snuggle up under heat lamps. In the evening, we were able to watch the babies being fed milk as we wandered arond the grounds at sunset. We also spent time with Brit and Fleming Pfann, the owners of the Inn, in the main log cabin, which was built in the 1800s. It was an amazing experience, and if you live in the area, you should definitely visit their farm!
