How many times do you get to do such a classic bridal portrait session after someone’s wedding?
Frances decided to have her classic portraits done at the Merrimon-Wynne House in downtown Raleigh, NC. You might remember Frances from her engagement session with Bart at their Hillsborough home and at Ayr Mount in 2018. We met just months before I was due with Everest and because they were married back at home in Alabama just a few months later, we didn’t get to photograph their wedding!
So how did we get to do these bridals?! Frances contacted us after her wedding with a little bit of regret. She and Bart had asked their wedding photographer to focus on candids on their wedding day because they didn’t think they’d love photos of themselves as much (which is just silly after that amazing engagement session)! But then, Frances ended up loving how she looked on her wedding day and wished she had had more bridal portraits taken! She reached out to us to do an after-wedding bridal portrait session for that reason.
Here are a few of our favorites from these photos:
- Frances snuck her mother and grandmother’s dresses out of her parents’ home to include them in this session!
- We used one of the fireplace mantles at the Merrimon-Wynne to display wedding invitations and photos from her family.
- The lace on her veil was added by Bart’s mom!
- Ninth Street Flowers created a lovely little bouquet and sent greenery and florals for the mantle!
Frances, we’re so glad we were able to make these images for you and can’t wait to see them printed for your home in a gorgeous album! You and Bart are the sweetest and I’m so glad you’ll get to remember how beautiful you looked on your wedding day with these photos!
