Our very favorite sessions are the ones where, at the end, our clients say, “Wow, that was actually fun.” We know that a photo session can seem like a painful process, but our goal is to make them as stress-less as possible. We want engagement sessions like us to feel like an experience that allows you to reconnect with your fiancé, and one that lets you leave feeling more in love with them.
Luckily, this is exactly the reaction that Natalie and Matthew gave us after heir engagement session. What they don’t know is that we had just as much fun capturing these amazing images of them!
We will be capturing Natalie and Matthew’s wedding at the Nassau Inn in Princeton, New Jersey later this year in the summer, so we thought we would meet up for a wintry January session while they were in town in North Carolina.
As usual, though, North Carolina didn’t cooperate. What we got instead was a warm and glowing session in the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh. But trust us, we are not complaining. As we drove to Raleigh, we left a cloud-covered city, and were greeted by a lovely sunset. We love when that happens!
We so enjoyed being able to walk around the arboretum with these two and catch up on their wedding plans and create these images with them. The lavender bouquet that includes pineapples and succulents that Natalie has planned definitely has us excited! We were even able to work some succulents into their session as a preview! But what was really amazing was getting to see the two of them interact. It comes as no surprise that Matthew proposed to Natalie with an idea as sweet as creating a website plastered with pictures from their relationship. We hope in the future that some of these will make the cut!
Natalie and Matthew, thank you both for meeting up with us for this engagement session! We enjoyed spending an evening with you and can’t wait to see you soon for your wedding!
