Orange County Courthouse Wedding | Hillsborough, NC | Trayce & Addison

July 27, 2020

We’re sharing the sweetest Orange County courthouse wedding today. Trayce contacted us the week before she and Addison decided to tie the knot in Hillsborough, NC.

We fell in love with their story — they met on Bumble and knew immediately that the other was their person. Shortly after making their relationship official, they learned that they were expecting their beautiful daughter, Charlie. Previously in Chicago, they stayed in their friend’s parents’ home in Chapel Hill and fell in love with the area, so decided to buy the home, move to North Carolina, and tie the knot — all within a few weeks! Trayce and Addison weren’t sure that their little one should be present on their wedding day, but they ended up having her come along for some photos, and goodness are we glad!

We know that with COVID creating postponements and wreaking havoc on timelines, scheduling (or rescheduling) your wedding may cause tons of anxiety, but there was none present on this day! Trayce and Addison were cool cucumbers, even in the July heat! The couple had a small handful of friends present and decided to head to one of our favorite Durham restaurants, Vin Rouge, afterwards to celebrate. We love this new trend of keeping ceremonies smaller and then planning a larger celebration with friends and family afterwards. We definitely think it’s a way to have the best of both worlds! Plus, it allows you to splurge on a few things that are important to you — while Tracey decided to forego an expensive dress, she rocked her Valentino heels and Bowerbird Flowers bouquet!

Quick tip from Trayce’s experience: if you decide to get married at the beautiful Orange County Courthouse, know that you’ll need an appointment! Trayce tried to call beforehand and was told that she wouldn’t need one but they asked for the appointment time when she and Addison arrived. Luckily, there was some space in the schedule and they were fit in, but if you’re taking this route, consider driving by and making an appointment in person beforehand!

Trayce and Addison, thanks so much for trusting us to be present for this day! You two are clearly surrounded by so much love — your Orange County courthouse wedding was a spectacular way to see it in action!
