We honestly can’t believe this session hasn’t been on our journal for this time — it was one of our favorites of 2017!
When we met DC and Evan in the winter of 2017 and learned about their wedding plans in Charleston, we were excited. Then, when they told us about their idea for this engagement session, we just knew they would be an amazing couple to work with. One of their relationship traditions has been seeking the perfect old-fashioned cocktail recipe and they wanted to feature that in this styled engagement session. We rounded up the perfect vendor team to make their vision for this session come to life.
Some of our favorite parts of this session:
- Flowers on Broad Street outdid themselves with the florals on this one! We love how kumquats were incorporated into the bouquets they created to pair with the citrus in DC and Evan’s recipe.
- Speaking of which, the bar cart styled with ingredients were used to create old fashioned drinks using their recipes. Bridgett Lynette Designs lettered and illustrated special prints featuring the recipe, so if you’re looking for one, just read below!
- All of the beautiful rentals provided by Cottage Luxe were styled by Amanda — the Mims House made the perfect backdrop for it all!
You can see some of our favorite images from this session, featured in Swooned Magazine, below!
DC and Evan, we are so glad that we were able to meet and work with you this year! You two make such an amazing couple. We hope 2018 has just as much love in store for you as 2017 did!
