As an NC newborn photographer, there’s little that’s better than seeing former wedding clients have their first baby! JP and Tina welcomed baby Evangeline and we were so honored to be able to photograph her!
Tina and JP were married four years ago (!) and we got to photograph their sweet ceremony, which remains a highlight in our career because they jumped into the Haw River afterwards!
I was so excited to hear that they were expecting their first little one earlier this year! They chose the name Evangeline because it’s so unique, but call her Evie for short. I met them, masked up, at their home in north Durham to capture a few photos of their newborn days together.
As an NC newborn photographer, I have seen lots of lighting situations in homes and I promise, we can make it work! JP and Tina’s home is pretty dark, so we did lots of shots by the window in their living room and also went outside for some photos. Little Evie slept through most of her session, but was certainly awakened when her two furry brothers curled up with her on the couch! During her session, she got a little hungry, so we took a break to eat — that’s why these sessions are an hour! I also photographed her in her room, which has a vintage crib that has been passed down through Tina’s family. What a special thing for Evie to be photographed in!
JP and Tina, thank you so much for trusting us to photograph baby Evie! I loved meeting her and can’t wait to see her grow up! What a lucky little girl she is!
