COVID kills another couple’s wedding dreams…NOT! This NC Museum of Art Wedding in Raleigh, NC was just what Kat and Christopher wanted!
They hav been together for eight years, moved across the country with each other, and this week, made things official at a beautiful, intimate ceremony at the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh. Kat and Christopher were torn about where to have their ceremony, originally considering the beautiful beaches and mountains of NC. But after visiting the NC Museum of Art and walking around the grounds, they decided they had landed on the perfect spot for them in their new home.
As soon as I saw them, I could tell how excited they were. We had one of those quintessential, North Carolina fall days where the light was golden and the temperatures were in the 70s. We found a spot under a willow so that Kat and Christopher could stand in the shade with their officiant, Kathie.
There was only one problem.
We needed two witnesses! I could serve as one, but we needed another to make the whole thing legal! Luckily, there were many people enjoying the beautiful weather at NCMA and Kat approached a couple to ask if they would serve as witnesses for the short ceremony. Who can say no to a bride minutes before her wedding?!
After their ceremony, we let the officiant and witnesses leave and Kat and Christopher had a little post-ceremony portrait session around the grounds.
Kat and Christopher, thank you so much for inviting me into this day! You two make such a beautiful couple and I know that you’ll have a wonderful celebration with all of your family and friends later. For now, though, I’m so happy that you were able to have such a gorgeous and meaningful start to your marriage with the two people who matter most: each other!
