What’s even cooler than a couple who will jump into a river together after their ceremony? The couple that introduced them to each other!
Margaret and Matt are currently long-distance, but are getting married in New Orleans, where Matt is from, next year! Margaret contacted us because she would be in town visiting Matt, who currently works at NC State, and thought it would be a good idea to do an engagement session in the place where she grew up since their wedding will take place on Matt’s stomping grounds. Margaret described wanting a spot that reminded her of her childhood outside in the woods, so we chose Eno River State Park.
We loved the views of the Hanging Bridge and water down below, and enjoyed an evening spent exploring with Margaret and Matt. They filled us in on how they met (grad school!) and where they got engaged (New Orleans!) and some of the wedding plans they are making now (Margaret went dress shopping this past weekend!).
This was truly the perfect time of year for this session. When we scouted locations just a few weeks ago, the trees didn’t really have any leaves at all. A few short weeks later, and everything was in bloom with new baby buds. We’re glad that Margaret and Matt picked this date — not only was the North Carolina springtime weather perfect at sunset, but we were able to get all of that beautiful green in the photos!
Margaret and Matt, thanks so much for spending the evening with us this past weekend. We’re glad that we ended up at the Eno River State Park and we hope it brought back good memories of your childhood! We so enjoyed meeting you two and know you will have an amazing wedding in New Orleans and a sweet life together!
