Can you imagine anything more romantic than a candle-filled engagement session in a canoe? Neither can we!
Sarah and Matt love the outdoors and won an engagement session with us, so we planned their session around activities they already love to do together. Sarah and Matt love canoeing and fishing together on her family’s land in rural North Carolina, so we wanted to incorporate that theme into this session.
We contacted our friends at The Pavilion at Nick’s Road who were wonderful and agreed to host us for this session! We started off with the beautiful candle-filled canoe at the pond on the property. For those looking for an outdoor wedding venue, you will love PNR! It offers lots of picture-perfect spaces outdoors to tie the knot and plenty of amenities for your family and friends.
After the pond, we walked over with Sarah and Matt to the newly built fire pit where they got to enjoy some coffee and cuddle under a blanket. On our way over, they told us about their proposal, which happened at Disney World this past December! In front of the castle, Matt dropped to one knee and asked his college sweetheart to marry him. The cutest. We can totally see why he fell in love with Sarah’s beautiful personality — she didn’t lose her cool over the possibility of falling into a pond on a chilly March day, but screamed with joy any time we crossed paths with one of the many animals that lives on the land at PNR!
Sarah and Matt, thanks so much for trusting us with this session. We hope you love these photos as much as we do and know you will enjoy a long and loving married life together!
