We knew this would be a special engagement session when Frances contacted us!
She and Bart will be married in her hometown of Mobile, Alabama, but they wanted to celebrate their engagement with photos in their current home in North Carolina. They just bought the house where Frances is currently living in Hillsborough, NC and when we talked about that being a good backup location for their session in case of bad weather, Frances loved the idea so much that we ended up using it as a second location for their session! Because this will be their first home together, we thought it would be a really special place to include in their engagement session, especially since their wedding won’t take place in North Carolina! Frances recently moved here and they’re still in the process of getting everything set up inside. Luckily, we had amazing weather and Frances and Bart set up a simple picnic complete with strawberries and champagne outside! How sweet are these images of them celebrating their engagement?
Afterwards, we headed to Ayr Mount, just a short drive from their home, for the second half of their session. Frances brought along this gorgeous bouquet by Ninth Street Flowers that perfectly matched her dress! We just loved those blues! Ayr Mount is a historic home built in 1815 and has beautiful grounds, so we explored and took these photos of Frances and Bart while the sun set. We love the little tree with the carved heart in it and were so glad we were able to catch some blooming flowers! You can see some of our favorite images from this session below. Frances and Bart, thanks so much for trusting us to capture your engagement session. We had such a fun evening with the two of you and hope you enjoy these images for years to come!
