We’ve been excited for Suzanne and MC’s engagement session ever since we first met with them to talk about their relationship and wedding early this year. We were even more excited when they told us they wanted to their engagement session in downtown Raleigh and their home. We love lifestyle sessions that feature couples’ favorite places and activities. That extra layer of meaning is a joy to be a part of and always makes for beautiful moments and photographs.
We met Suzanne and MC at Whiskey Kitchen in downtown Raleigh on a beautiful sunny day. They were sitting across from each other on the bright outdoor patio waiting on a pair of berry Moscow Mules, a perfect choice for hot summer day.
After drinks we made our way across the street to Nash Square to stroll through the little green oasis in the middle of downtown. It had been clear from the beginning how affectionate they were with each other and that came out big time as we walked. We loved being around two people that clearly were having so much fun together. Just look at their mini-dance session below.
After our stroll, we made our way back to Suzanne and MC’s new house in north Raleigh. We were floored when we went inside. Suzanne’s day job staging layouts for Anthropologie meant their house looked like it came straight out of an interior design magazine.
Once we got there, we finally got to meet Tucker, the “Carolina Dog” they rescued together as roommates, before they became a couple. Just look at that handsome pup! Not pictured is the best dog tick we’ve seen yet, where Tucker hops up for a double high five when MC says “Go Heels!” Meanwhile, “Go Duke” and “Go State,” only result in the dog’s blank stare.
We loved the chance to spend the afternoon with Suzanne and MC, and we especially loved the little glimpse we got into the beautiful home and family they are building together. We are so excited to celebrate and photograph their wedding together this fall!
