Warm, fall accent colors, a wanderlust-themed wedding day at a Lebanese restaurant, and LED light performers — oh my! Literally am not sure what words could provide more click-bait! If you’re here because you were hoping to verify your guess from our Instagram post quiz, we’ve got some bad news — you’re all wrong because Emily and Burke’s wedding day included ALL of the above!
Emily and Burke’s wedding day filled with such intentional details and took place on a gorgeous, warm October afternoon in downtown Raleigh. Despite the numerous locations where we took photos, it was easy to get everywhere because everything happened in downtown Raleigh!
We started out at Emily and Burke’s cutie home where Emily was getting ready for the day. After details, hair, and makeup, she got into her dress and we headed downtown to Moore Square and the City Market area for her first look with Burke and portraits with family! We love that the first look took place in the same location we did their engagement photos earlier this year!
The ceremony and reception both took place at Jiddi, the courtyard area at Sitti Restaurant in downtown Raleigh. Sitti has delicious Lebanese food and Jayme of Hazel Events had decorated the ceremony and reception space beautifully to reflect Emily and Burke’s love of travel! This wanderlust-themed wedding definitely had our hearts and we love how Emily and Burke embraced that in the design.
Some of our favorite moments from this day:
- The portraits took on a whole new level of cool with the addition of sunglasses!
- Emily and Burke walked down the aisle together and their siblings officiated the ceremony!
- The peacock chairs they got to sit in to eat dinner!
- There was a Spanish guitarist at the ceremony and LED dancers and a mirror man at the reception to entertain the guests! How fun is that?
- One of Burke’s friends made and wore a tie to the wedding with a bunch of photos of Burke on it. Seriously hilarious.
Emily and Burke, thank you so much for trusting us with these photos! We loved being present for your wonderful wedding day. Even though much may not have changed about your relationship since you tied the knot, we hope you look back on memories of this day and remember how much fun you had celebrating your choice to love one another surrounded by your family and friends!
